Day Trip to Rincon de la Vieja (Volcano Tour)

This amazing day is made up of a variety of activities at the Rincon de la Vieja National Park.

You may choose to start your tour with an optional activity -- careening on inner tubes down a 1300 foot water slide. This is sure to wake you up! Next you will enjoy an extraordinary Costa Rican lunch before heading out on horseback and a short hike to a beautiful waterfall. You also have an option of taking a four-wheel vehicle on a different route, if horseback riding isn't your cup of tea.

Either way, multiple trails lead through beautiful forest to the incredible waterfall, open grassy slopes, and the wide array of volcanic features.

After the ride and hike, you can relax your muscles in a sauna built over the natural steaming vents from the volcano. Then enjoy a mudbath by applying warm clay that has been gathered from the nearby boiling deposits. This clay does wonders for your skin and the natural, warm mineral pools soak away stress and muscle aches.

Includes transportation (about 1 hour from the villas), lunch, refreshments, and admission to the park. The water slide is optional for an additional $15 for as many trips down as you can handle, and as time for other activities permits.
