See Amazing Wildlife and Nature

If you love wildlife and nature, Costa Rica is the place for you. The country has a diversity of wildlife species and plenty of ways to help you view them.

You will have easy access to many wonderful tours of the rain forest, the Arenal and Rincon de la Vieja active volcanoes, and giant sea turtles. Take white water rafting or mild river rafting tours and see wildlife abundance--monkeys, anteaters, cotis, crocodiles, jaguars, and many beautiful birds. Participate in tree top canopy and horseback riding tours. Spend a day hiking or take short walks and drink in the splendor of the unspoiled wilderness.

Explore the Ocean

If you prefer the ocean, you have your choice to stay above it or explore beneath it. Surf your way along the shore, or take a boat out on a fishing adventure. Costa Rica has of some of the world's best fishing for marlin or sail fish. You can also snorkel or scuba dive beneath the warm sea waters and see a wondrous variety of brilliant marine wildlife.

Take Time to Relax

Looking for a day to relax? Costa Rica offers the perfect escapes. Spend a day on the green, golfing at an 18-hole championship golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones II, 45 minutes to one hour away. There is also a 9-hole golf course close by in Sardinal. Or, lie back at the Bahia Azul Spa and let your body be pampered. You can also relax at Tabacon Springs, where you can soak in mineral waters naturally heated by the Arenal volcano. If partying is your form of relaxation, spend an evening at the Coco Verde Casino, a short ride from the villas.

About Your Guide

Meet Allan Muzillo, owner and operator of Allan's Tours — offered to you by Costa Rica Villas. Allan comes right to your villa at a time you specify after your arrival. He shows you all of the available tours and answers any questions you may have. After you select your tours, Allan coordinates with the staff at the villas, so they will know your tour schedule. This lets them plan for special meals and timing, so you never have to think of anything except enjoying your vacation.

Allan or his staff comes and picks you up at the specified time for each tour you select. He and his staff are excellent tour guides with a wealth of knowledge about their country, a great sense of adventure, and an efficient yet relaxed attitude. You will immediately see that their tours are well planned and organized and that while nothing is left to chance, nothing is set in stone either. The spontaneous extras that Allan and his staff provide, turn these incredible tours into adventures that you won't forget.

On the way to or from a tour, you may stop along the side of the road to sample native fruits, meet native Costa Ricans, hold a pet howler monkey, buy cashews from a man roasting them outside his house, and much more.
