A Wonderful Day in Nicaragua

Rise and shine! Off you go with your knowledgeable guide who will share interesting traveling experiences about Nicaragua with you. After reaching the border you will have to clear customs and immigration - but about 15 minutes later you will be greated with magnificent Lake Nicaragua and Ometepe Island with its majestic twin peak volcanos.

You will stop in Masaya where generations of artisans practice their trades of pottery, handmade hammocks, wood sculptures, paintings, and more. Then on to a typical Nicaraguan restaurant with open-air facilities, for a delicious lunch.

Then another stop at the nearby market of handmade arts and crafts with prices so inexpensive you will want to load up on souvenirs. You will travel on to Granada, a beautiful colonial Spanish town founded in 1524. You can view the amazing architecture from your seat on a horse drawn carriage.

How about visiting the cigar factory where you can watch the rolling and wrapping process of handmade Nicaraguan cigars? Or watch a young boy handcarve wooden coffins at the local coffin factory.

Take a relaxing boat trip on Lake Nicaragua where you can sit back, enjoy the breeze, and watch the wildlife.

As the suns starts to set, you can enjoy a last drink on the terrace of the central plaza before returning to Costa Rica. What a wonderful memory.
